We Trail Angels have been “Travelife® certified” since 2023 – as only the eighth company in Austria and the first in Carinthia. A great responsibility for us and for you the security of being able to plan your trip with the support of a certified tour operator for sustainable travel.

„The way beyond“ – always going one step further is in the DNA of us Trail Angels. Especially when it comes to finding new ways to travel with the smallest possible ecological footprint.

After all, one of the major challenges of the future will be to make travel suitable for grandchildren in the age of global warming. We have approached this difficult task with innovation, great passion and the will to take concrete action. In order to meet this challenge, we have even launched our own climate research project* with the support of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the ongoing results of which are already being incorporated into the design of our new “Hiking without a footprint” offers.

Although we Trail Angels primarily offer you sustainable hiking trips on the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails in the Alpe-Adria region, we have always been drawn to faraway places. Above all to contribute to mutual cultural understanding and more fairness and sustainability in trekking tours.

To this end, we have developed fascinating trekking projects, including the High Scardus Trail in the Western Balkans – winner of the “International Tourism Award 2022” -, the climate expeditions in Ladakh and the Snow Leopard Trail in Nepal.

What is particularly important for you: on all our “Impact Trekking “* trips, we combine a great trekking experience with the involvement and support of sustainable projects with a big impact on the ground. And on the specially marked “Explorer Tours”, you can even take on the role of a pioneer for sustainable trekking trips and make an active contribution.
