The coast on the Black Sea, glacial giants in the Caucasus, lovely vineyards, flocks of sheep on endless plateaus, cave monasteries, fortified towers and a vibrant capital: Georgia is hard to beat in diversity. One reason why we have included Georgia as a new trail destination for Bookyourtrail.com.

Until recently, Georgia remained an insider tip on the tourist map of the world. But this is just about to change, because the famous “Lonely Planet” has chosen the country on the border of Asia and Europe as one of the TOP 10 tourist destinations in 2018. An honour that Georgia has well deserved.

The country with its ancient history (among other things, the oldest wine varieties in the world are cultivated here) is in a breathtaking departure into modernity, without forgetting its archaic roots. Thus, its fabulous, varied landscape often radiates an exoticism that one would not expect on the edge of Europe, but rather in the Himalayas, Mongolia or even in the subtropics.

Together with our experienced local partners “Welcome to Georgia”, we are currently working on breathtaking trails, trekking routes and round trips with short hikes, which will soon be bookable on our portal with the full range of functions and the well proven service.

But trekking tours and round trips can already be planned and booked via our Trail Info and Booking Center! The following two examples can be used as inspiration for your travel planning:

Private Trekking: Trans Caucasus Trail

The “Trans Caucausus Trail” is currently one of the most breathtaking trekking projects in the world. When completed, the trail will cross the entire Caucasus from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea. Parts of the trail have already been completed in Georgia and Armenia. The section in Swanetia is one of the most spectacular of the whole trail and can be booked now at Bookyourtrail.com!

Hiking and round trips: Wine Tour

The week-long wine, hiking and culture tour through Cartlia with the capital Tbilisi is considerably more comfortable and above all more enjoyable. You will stay overnight in selected four-star hotels and the visit of picturesque wineries with wine tastings and magnificent cultural monuments are the focus of this premium round trip, for which our travel partner has already received several awards.

Got curious? We are happy to advise you on the planning of your dream trip – whether a trekking tour or a circular hiking trip – to Georgia.
